Parents and caregivers understood their sacred role as living examples, showing children what it means to speak and act with truth from a young age. A grandmother might gently guide a young child who took a toy from their sibling, sitting with them to talk about how their actions affected others. Through patient conversation, the child learned that honesty begins early in small moments that shape character and strengthen family bonds. In traditional Métis culture, respecting others' boundaries and belongings was a natural expression of community care.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eToday, we carry this beautiful tradition forward, modeling truth-telling in all our relationships with those we serve, our staff, volunteers, and the Elders and Knowledge Keepers who guide us.
