This beautiful artwork is part of a series of 12 paintings that was commissioned for Surrey B.C. Metis Family Centres by Phyllis Poitras-Jarrett.  The side text is not present on the actual print and is only for viewing purposes here.  Each will come with a core values description.

Kindness Kitimakaymiwek

The Métis community honours all acts of kindness big and small. From childhood, we learn to welcome strangers with open hearts, care for animals and Mother Earth, and support those who need us most: Elders, Knowledge Keepers, veterans, LGBTQ+ community members, people experiencing homelessness, those with disabilities, and our cherished pets. A warm meal shared with a neighbor, a listening ear offered to someone in pain, or a gentle hand extended to help an Elder these moments embody the essence of Kitimakaymiwek. Our children witness kindness in action as they grow, learning that compassion is not merely a feeling but a way of being. We celebrate this sacred value by lifting up the vulnerable and extending compassion to all beings. Our leaders shape this reality by modeling kindness in their actions, creating spaces where every person is honoured, and guiding our community with hearts open to the needs of others. Kitimakaymiwek reminds us that kindness is active and transformative, challenging us to build a world where love shapes our legacy.

I print on 8.5"x11" with Premium Matte Paper 210gms/12.2mil thickness.
I can also print on 8.5"x11" with 100% Canon Infinity Rag Paper 310gsm/23.5 thickness. Please contact me on a price for the Rag Paper prints. 
I use Canon Lucia pigmented inks which are the highest quality and are fade resistant.
All papers and inks are archival quality.

➤SHIPPING➤ ORDER EARLY➤ Please allow up to 7 days while the item is being prepared for the shipping process to begin. Order a couple of weeks or so in advance so you are not disappointed, as production times and shipping during the busy season can be longer. For larger orders over 20 I will need  a bit more time to print and sign the art.
