This beautiful artwork is part of a series of 12 paintings that was commissioned for Surrey B.C. Metis Family Centres by Phyllis Poitras-Jarrett.  The side text is not present on the actual print and is only for viewing purposes here.  Each will come with a core values description.

Balance (Balaans): Living in Harmony

Balance is a traditional value of the Métis people where giving and receiving are interconnected. This balance lives within all of us. We are invited to nurture harmony across four essential dimensions: mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. When we tend to these aspects of ourselves, we create a foundation for wholeness.

This is a journey we walk together. By observing others who open gatherings with intention, offer gratitude, and close with respect, we learn meaningful ways to honour connection. Each of us has the opportunity to practice these traditions and support one another in finding balance. Through intentional presence and genuine care, we encourage well-being not only for ourselves but for everyone in our community. Balance is both a personal practice with our natural environments and our inner being, and a collective gift. When we support each other with compassion and purpose, we weave a stronger, more harmonious world together.

I'm presently offering Premium Matte Paper Art prints and canvas prints soon! There are prints available for each of the 12 Metis Core values.  The original paintings are 36"x24". I am also considering offering posters for educational purposes soon.

I print on 8.5"x11" with Premium Matte Paper 210gms/12.2mil thickness.
I can also print on 8.5"x11" with 100% Canon Infinity Rag Paper 310gsm/23.5 thickness. Please contact me on a price for the Rag Paper prints. 
I use Canon Lucia pigmented inks which are the highest quality and are fade resistant.
All papers and inks are archival quality.

➤SHIPPING➤ ORDER EARLY➤ Please allow up to 7 days while the item is being prepared for the shipping process to begin. Order a couple of weeks or so in advance so you are not disappointed, as production times and shipping during the busy season can be longer. For larger orders over 20 I will need  a bit more time to print and sign the art.
